Warden Message: Argentina H1N1 Travel Information

U.S. Embassy Buenos Aires issued the following Warden Message on June 18:

 

This warden message is being issued to alert U.S. citizens residing and traveling in Argentina that more than 800 confirmed cases of H1N1 Influenza have been reported in Argentina, including four deaths. Argentine authorities have instituted a number of measures to control the spread of H1N1, and may require travelers entering Argentina to complete health cards that contain local contact information, don provided surgical masks when disembarking their flights and pass in front of sensors that track body temperature in transportation terminals. Some flights may be disinfected with spray prior to landing.


The U.S. Embassy will continue to monitor this situation and will issue updated messages as necessary.
